I bought this pointer to use during a presentation. I wanted the option of being able to move around yet still point at important sections of my PowerPoint. The laser worked great for that and was very easy to use. When I was doing flip chart work, I used the extended pointer. I found that it worked well and because I wasn't flipping between the laser and the pointer, having them on different ends of the pointer didn't cause me problems. I like that it is retractable so that I could easily clip it on to my notes and find it when needed. Two other presenters asked to borrow it for their own talks.
The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because I want it all - I wish the extension of the pointer went out a little further. Otherwise, this is great and I keep it in my briefcase along with my portable projector.

Very cheaply made. Do not waste your time or money. Great idea and concept but it wont even stay screwed together in the middle and the batteries will fall out many times. Total disaster.

This product is nice. However, the laser pointer is at the opposite end of the extended pointer, so if you decide to use the laser instead of the metal pointer, you have to turn the whole pointer around. This was the only inconvenience with this product. Would be perfect if at the other end.
