 "My son is happy..." 2010-04-15
By Gary S. Netherton (Chicago, IL)
Though he torments the kittens, my son is quite happy with the performance of this laser pointer. It is quite powerful and has me debating purchasing one for myself.

 "Awesome" 2009-08-12
By O. Harris
I had recently purchased a 5mW green and was very impressed with the distance that I could see, but this 50mW puts the 5mW in the shade. I installed the batteries immediately and fired it up. Oh my!, it lit up the room I was in. I have hit the clouds with it, and the beam from it is like a tunnel of light. We plan on watching the meteorite showers soon and this laser will be with us. It is way to bright for practical object pointing when dealing with customers, but when pointing out stars in the sky the beam takes the viewer straight to them. I love it. And yes, I am just a big kid when it comes to toys like this.

 "Worked for one minute!" 2009-06-29
By Dawn Nilson (Portland, OR)
I was given this as a gift in March -- walked outside at night to test the brightness pointing at a star-- it looked great. Didn't use it until a star party (June 26) where I was one of the hosts --- it didn't work AT ALL. I put in brand new batteries --- nothing. Came home, tried it again with the old (UNUSED) batteries, the laser light worked for 2-3 seconds and then nothing. As soon as my friend finds her receipt -- it's going back. I was completely embarassed to have my astronomy buddies prove me wrong when they kept telling me that a cheap laser light is worthless. If I had listened, I would not be here with egg on my face.

 "jeahhhh green laser pointer" 2009-01-17
By Daniel S. Cobb Jr. (Milwaukee WI)
The green laser pointer I received was awesome, granted, it got me in a lot of trouble at times, but still a great laser pointer. The green dot can be seen for WAY over the advertised range that I looked at. Although, I bet some of you are thinking "yeah but mine didn't go that far, so you're full of it." Like every product, lasers are subject to some quality control issues, some work better than others, I won't deny it.

Living in the city of Milwaukee I can see the dot on billboards more than a dozen blocks away. Unfortunately the battery does go very quickly, but did I mention the laser dot.... is green? It's worth it. Everyone has a green laser pointer, when making presentations people notice how brightly it stands out and when you're pointing to specific material it's easier to spot the dot.

unfortunately I'm going to have to buy a new miraclebeam laser pointer, not because it broke, but because an idiot roommate decided to take it when he was thrown out, but that my friends.... is another story.

But overall.... good laser pointer, good price.... I'd recommend it. Hell, I'm buying my second one in a few minutes, I recommend you buy one soon

wow that came out kinda like I work for miraclebeam.... but yeah, buy one, if a college kid likes it.... who wouldnt

enjoy

 "Green Laser Problems" 2009-01-05
By Bruce C. Taylor (Stow, OH)
I just had the opportunity to test out my new MiracleBeam Green Laser pointer. I was out in the dark with very little light pollution. Sometimes I could see the green beam sometimes I could not. I put in new batteries and things never got better. I finally decided not to use the Laser because it was so unreliable. I decided to buy a different laser from a different company. Hopefully the new one will be better.
