I bought this mostly because I just wanted a laser where I could see the beam! I didnt expect it to be so bright in some places! it is visible in broad daylight and definitely goes atleast half a mile clearly visible. I give this 4 stars because the button on this thing is crappy and lately mine has been weaker, probly because I used it alot but the button is definitely loose. But for $11 i dont think I could have asked for more!

When I got this i the mail and opened it i was amazed at the quality of this laser. Only problem was mine didnt come with any batterys. In my opinion Duracell batterys work better. This is such a powerfull laser for the money I spent. Great product from CE Compass

My wife got it for me for father's day. It uses 2x AA batteries and works great, you will want a back up set as the laser is strong and does use a lot of juice. It's strong enough to light up a dark room and can be seen on objects far away. We've used it to point out stars and the line from the laser is easily visible even with the light pollution of Honolulu. I would highly recommend only allowing very responsible individuals to use it as blinding someone is extremely easily even off a reflection. Great product.

This is a very good laser pointer for the low price. You can see the beam clearly when it is dark, and the dot is visible several city clocks away. I am very happy with this product.
