Blue lasers are the cutting edge of consumer laser pointers, and this is a fun one. The special lens that caps this laser pointer diffuses the laser beam into patterns that can be adjusted by twisting the lens. If you want to use it like a regular laser pointer, just unscrew the cap.

Please note, because the human eye is more sensitive to green than to blue, this laser pointer will appear less bright than a similar green one. However, the milliwatt output is factory-calibrated and accurate. In daylight or bright places, the blue laser will be more difficult to see. In darkness, it is bright.

"Good Sevice, Product Received as Promised" 2010-07-14
By Bromius
I was very satisfied with the service I received and the quality of the product. The 10mw Blue laser is almost as bright as my 3mw green laser (the reason for this is that the blue light is less visible to the human eye). The beam is visible in complete darkness and the color of the dot is beautiful. I love how the blue light causes UV color to fluoresce and how the laser can be used to write on glow-in-the-dark materials. This is an excellent addition to my laser collection.

"Like Having a Black Light Laser" 2010-06-22

This is a lot of fun, especially with phosphorescent rocks and glow-in-the-dark objects (and soon a glow-in-the-dark painted wall). Dot brightness depends on the material you're shooting at.

The star lens splits the beam and reduces individual dot brightness as a result. Point it at a white surface for best results. Remove it for a single bright beam.

Might be good for presentations, but test it in-situ before hand if possible.

Go for it if you like lasers.

the dot is a bit big, but the laser is strong, unlike my green one, this does affect glow in the dark stuff

I'm amused

 "Blue/Violet Laser" 2010-06-11
By Joseph Brown (Atlanta, GA USA)
This is a pretty good laser. Remember is near ultraviolet so on some surfaces it will appear a dim purple, but when aimed at something like white paper the dot becomes bright blue color. There is a little heat from the dot which you can feel on your lips which I was a little surprised. It is well built and has a solid feel. On the laser it self it says Class IIIB which is between 5-500mW this is labeled as max 10mW so you are getting between 5-10mW on this one. This is something not to be really played with by young children. The beam is visible at night when aimed towards you. Would not be a good for presentations unless the surface aimed at response to Ultraviolet light plus some people have a hard time seeing this color beside green is the best since it is easily visible. I am happy to add this to my collection. The case it came in was hinged metal tin. oddly the instruction manual in the case was for a green laser.

Remember it is blue/violet but it is not a weak laser. Appears just as bright on white paper as my 5mW green laser. I have seen a laser of this class and color a little cheaper some other places but many have had some low ratings on quality of the product.

 "Blue light special." 2010-05-12
By J. Moehring
Laser pointer is very well made and came in a handsome case. The light is a violet-blue and is very striking, a color I've not seen before in a laser pointer. Aiming it at an object that glows in the dark makes the object floresce brightly, neat. The star lens makes for an instant light show. A great deal at the price.
